Methacrylated polylysine (PLMA) is a functional polymer material obtained by methacrylation modification of the natural polycationic polymer poly-L-lysine (PLL) and belongs to light-responsive cationic polymers.Its core structure is a linear or branched polypeptide backbone formed by multiple lysine monomers connected through α-amino or ε-amino groups. The ε-amino group of each lysine side chain is selectively modified with methacrylic anhydride, introducing methacryloyl (-CH₂=C(CH₃)CO-) active groups, which endow the material with unique photopolymerization properties and biological regulatory functions.
