LPSC sulfide solid electrolyte is the English abbreviation for Lithium Phosphorus Sulfur Chloride, with the chemical formula Li₆PS₅Cl. It belongs to the argyrodite-type sulfide solid electrolytes and is one of the core electrolyte materials with great industrialization potential in the field of all-solid-state batteries.

This electrolyte is composed mainly of lithium, phosphorus, sulfur, and chlorine, with a crystal structure of the argyrodite type. This structure provides efficient channels for lithium-ion transport, which is the key structural basis for its high ionic conductivity. As a typical representative of ternary sulfide electrolytes, it is a material obtained by doping and modifying the binary sulfide system.

It exhibits excellent ionic conductivity at room temperature, combining lithium ion conductivity with electronic insulation. It is suitable as a separator material for the positive and negative electrodes of all-solid-state batteries. At the same time, it has a relatively soft texture, making it easy to process through cold pressing and allowing it to form close contact with the electrodes, enhancing interfacial compatibility.
