Double pathways AAO
By removing the barrier layer of the single-pass AAO , a double-pathways AAO can be obtained. The single-pass AAO is a surface-colored opaque sample due to the support of the aluminum substrate, while the general double-pathways AAO is translucent. Below are AAO Double pathways membranes of different sizes.
The color of the double-pathways is mainly related to electrolyte composition, electrolytic voltage or current density, and electrolysis time. The crystalline state of the double-pathways film has a large relationship with the electrolytic current density. At a very large current density, such as 2000-4000 A/m2, the formed film can be converted into a crystal.
The strength of the double-pathways AAO depends on the porosity and the thickness of the . Generally, the lower the void ratio, the higher the strength; the thickness of the increases and the strength increases.
The front and back sides of the double-pathways AAO generally have a better positive order than the reverse side. During the packaging process, the sample is facing up, and when the sample box is opened, the upward side is front.
The hole arrangement and order of the double-pathways AAO are the same as the single-pass AAO product except for the special specification sample (such as the unique surface topography design or the unique cross-sectional structure design). It should be noted that for different pore size ranges, such as less than 50 nm and greater than 100 nm, different electrolytes are required, and the arrangement of the pores and their order are not the same.
