Vanadium silicide: chemical formula VSi2. The molecular weight is 107.11. Metallic prismatic crystals. The relative density is 4. 42. Insoluble in cold water and hot water, soluble in hydrofluoric acid, insoluble in ethanol, ether and acid. Preparation method: It can be obtained by reacting the proportioned vanadium pentoxide with silicon at 1200°C, or directly reacting the proportioned metal vanadium with silicon at high temperature. Uses: used to make acid-resistant and refractory materials.
1. Preparation of vanadium silicide film. By implanting silicon with a large beam current density of vanadium metal ions, thin silicides with good performance can be directly synthesized. As the beam current density increases, the vanadium silicide phase grows, and the sheet resistance RS of the thin silicide decreases significantly. When the beam current density is 25 μA/cm2, Rs reaches the minimum value of 22ψ, indicating that continuous silicide has been formed. X-ray diffraction analysis showed that four kinds of vanadium silicides, V3Si, V5Si3, V3Si5 and VSi2, were formed in the injection layer. After annealing, Rs decreased significantly. The minimum Rs can be reduced to 9ψ, and the resistivity can be as small as 72μψm, indicating that the quality of the vanadium silicide thin layer has been further improved. After high beam current density implantation and annealing, the vanadium silicide phase further grows. Large beam current density injection and high temperature annealing (1200 °C) still have a very low sheet resistivity, which fully shows that vanadium silicide has good thermal stability. Transmission electron microscopic observation showed that the thickness of the continuous thin layer of vanadium silicide was 80nm.
2. Vanadium silicide is a sound-absorbing ceramic material. The surface of the substrate layer is coated with a surface layer with sound-absorbing properties. The combination of the two prepares a sound-absorbing ceramic material, which has both sound-absorbing function and good dustproof.
