Due to the unique ordered structure and excellent conductivity (σ) values, renewable porous biochar and 2D MXene have attracted great attention in the field of high-end electromagnetic interference (EMI) shielding. In this work, a wood-derived porous carbon (WPC) skeleton using natural wood as a raw material was used as a template. Then, based on the highly ordered honeycomb unit inside the WPC as a microreactor, an excellent conductivity and ultra-light 3D MXene aerogel were constructed to prepare the MXene aerogel / WPC composite. Higher carbonization temperature is more conducive to the degree of graphitization of natural wood. MXene aerogel / WPC composites can achieve an optimal EMI SE value of up to 71.3 dB at a density as low as 0.197 g / cm3. Such a wall-shaped "mortar-brick" structure (the WPC skeleton is "mortar" and the MXene aerogel is "brick") not only effectively solves the unstable structural problem of the MXene aerogel network, but also greatly prolongs the electromagnetic wave Transmission path of electromagnetic waves. Dissipates incident electromagnetic waves in the form of heat and electrical energy, thereby exhibiting excellent EMI shielding performance. In addition, MXene aerogel / WPC composites also exhibit good anisotropic compressive strength, excellent thermal insulation and flame retardancy. This ultra-light, green, and efficient multifunctional bio-carbon-based composite material has huge application potential in high-end EMI shielding fields such as aerospace and defense industry.
