【Research Background】

       In recent years, the emerging applications of two-dimensional materials in the fields of energy, electronics and optoelectronics have attracted extensive attention and extensive research. Especially two-dimensional transition metal carbides and nitrides (MXenes) are considered as emerging energy materials. Due to its high hydrophilicity, high porosity, high conductivity and other characteristics, it has a wide range of applications in batteries, electrocatalysts, supercapacitors, biochemistry and other fields.


【Achievement Introduction】

         Recently, the Department of Applied Physics Hong Kong Polytechnic University Hao Jianhua team of professors at the internationally renowned academic of Advanced Science published research papers, titled Efficient Energy Conversion and Storage Based on Robust Fluoride-Free Self-Assembled 1D Niobium Carbide in 3D Nanowire Network. Article reports A network of synthesized MXene nanowires was tested in electrochemical catalysis and zinc ion battery systems.

【Summary of this article】

       This paper reports a HF- free method that can synthesize 1D Nb 2 CT x with diluted HCl electrolyte within 4 hours Successfully established a one-dimensional interconnected three-dimensional network on a flexible substrate. The introduction of the CFC main chain not only serves as the backbone of NW , but also enhances the accessibility of ions, thereby improving the electrochemical performance of MXene related compounds.
